This isn’t your typical photoshoot

Let’s craft a session that feels like a typical day or evening out for you two. When you look back on the images in 10+ years you can laugh and remember how much you loved going down to that one ice cream store that always had your favourite flavour in stock. Or maybe it’s a casual night cuddled up near a campfire. Whatever it is, let’s make the session “you”.

It’s all about the feeling you leave with.

I always hear “we’ve never had our photos taken before so we will be awkward”, or “my partner doesn’t love getting photos done at all”.

Trust me, I get it. Getting in front of a camera is uncomfortable – I still get uncomfortable when I need to do it. This is why I don’t do poses (I do a few just so mom/dad/grandpa/grandma are happy haha) but other than that it’s all about you two interacting. I’ll direct the whole session so you don’t have to worry for one second about what you should be doing. You might even forget that I’m there altogether!

    – I’ll send you a questionnaire that will help me get to know you two better and what you value. Once I have this I’ll be able to brainstorm a few ideas for what we could do as a session.

    – your excited to see some photos, and I’m excited for you to see them!
  • VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS

    – looking for a hair or make-up artist? I gotchu.
  • A PLACE WHERE YOU FEEL SUPPORTED & ABLE TO BE FULLY YOURSELVES

    – it’s very important for me to build a relationship with couples to capture you two as authentically as possible. During the session my goal is to have you forget that I even have a camera, you two are just having fun and absorbing this time together.

Absolutely! Depending on your answers on the questionnaire I’ll brainstorm some places that I think will best suit you two.

Yep! I absolutely love dogs so I would be sad if you didn’t haha! You can bring your cat too if you’d like!

Typically every gallery includes 60-80 images, although a lot of times even more!

This might sound crazy, but hear me out. Bad weather often creates the best photos. The weather helps tell a part of that story. I always keep an eye on the weather and alerts – so in case the weather is not safe I always have a back-up planned!

Nope! If you’d rather have your session in your cozy flat that you two just got or have lived in for years we can do that, or a coffee shop, or so many other places!

No, couples sessions can’t be used for intimate weddings or elopements – but I do offer custom wedding & elopement packages!
